Kai Cenat Announces 100+ hrs Elden Ring Stream

Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat recently announced an ambitious plan to stream Elden Ring for over 100 hours.

The stream is going to be part of a marathon stream to conquer the game’s new DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree.

Cenat has streamed Elden Ring before

This stream follows Cenat’s well-known track record of hosting extended gaming sessions. Earlier in 2024, he completed the original Elden Ring game in a grueling 167-hour session filled with challenges and setbacks.

During that stream, Cenat captivated audiences with his perseverance, totaling 1,700 in-game deaths before achieving victory, which resonated with his dedicated fanbase.

The longest Streaming Sessions

Long-duration streams are not uncommon in the streaming community, with some record-breaking gaming streams going well beyond Cenat’s 100-hour goal.

In gaming history, notable lengthy streams include Ludwig Ahgren’s “Subathon” on Twitch, which ran for 31 days in 2021, clocking in at over 744 hours, and streamer Rand al’Thor 19‘s 2016 record-holding 36-hour Fallout 4 marathon.

In non-gaming categories, casino streamer Trainwreckstv is also known for prolonged sessions, occasionally extending his streams over several days with significant viewer engagement.

But these gaming streams pale in the face of some non-gaming streams that have lasted for more than a year!

In fact, the three longest streams on Twitch are still ongoing with no end in sight. Beard_Hub, SweatPedals and Emilycc have all been on air for more than a year now, with Emilycc clocking in at around 1100 days of non-stop streaming.

Cenat’s promise to tackle Elden Ring’s notoriously difficult gameplay for 100+ hours is expected to draw in massive viewership and potentially set a new bar for gaming endurance on Twitch.

Kai Cenat refuses $60 Million from Kick

Only a few days ago, Cenat disclosed that he was being approached by rival streaming platform Kick in 2023. Apparently, they wanted to see him streaming his first Elden Ring marathon on their site.

According to Cenat, the deal was worth $60 million, albeit there is no way for us to verify this number. Cenat turned the offer down and went to the smaller platform Rumble instead, while also streaming on Twitch.

Today, Kai Cenat is the streamer with the most subscriptions on Twitch: more than 14 million. He was also elected “Streamer of the Year 2022“.
